What is Human Trafficking?
Human Trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery. People are recruited and transported from their communities for the purpose of exploitation.
Trafficking in human beings consists of three core elements.
[D]Please note:
Human Trafficking doesn't need to go across borders. People can be trafficked within their own country.
When children (i.e. under 18 years old) are trafficked, no violence, deception or coercion needs to be involved: simply transporting them into exploitative conditions constitutes trafficking.
