Referral

The UK government has established the UK Human Trafficking Centre (UKHTC) to provide a consistent approach to:

• the prevention of trafficking, and
• the provision of support to trafficked persons.

It has also established a National Referral Mechanism to respond to victims.

We will explain this process briefly on the next page.
